Environmental Policy Statement

Michael Lonsdale Group specialises in the installation of mechanical, electrical and building services to offices, data centres, educational establishments, National Health Service and retail outlets.

It is the policy of Michael Lonsdale Group to develop, operate and maintain the company’s operations with due regard to the environment.

All activities undertaken by Michael Lonsdale Group shall be subject to this policy.

Michael Lonsdale Group will comply with all legal requirements and will incorporate environmental management throughout the company.

The company is wholly committed to consistently improving its environmental performance by targeting the following objectives:

• To commit adequate resources to enable the implementation and maintenance of our Environmental Management System.

• To promote awareness and understanding of environmental issues amongst our employees; principal and subcontractors; and suppliers.

• To take all practical steps to identify and limit pollution and eliminate any contamination to the environment.

• To implement wherever possible the use of alternative, more sustainable materials and equipment.  To also ensure that they are reused or recycled where applicable and disposed of responsibly.

• To reduce the waste of natural resources, promote waste reduction and optimise recycling.

• To continually monitor site waste disposal issues and ensure continued compliance with current legislation.

• To encourage the design and installation of more sustainable services within buildings.

• To monitor and reduce CO2 emissions and other negative environmental factors generated by delivery vehicles.

• To consider the environmental impact of each project and set up procedures to limit these to the best of our ability.

• To explore measures in controlling noise pollution and limiting any nuisance that may be caused by our operations.

• To further develop and maintain an optimal environmental management system within the requirements of ISO 14001.

This policy statement is subject to regular review within a period not exceeding 12 months.
